After seeing the dentist for your full oral examination, treatment options will be discussed. A treatment plan will be then tailored to your specific requirements.
Your child’s dental appointment is very important to us at CVFD.
You can bring your children into the clinic for a general examination or if you notice anything ‘out of the ordinary’.
It is great for kids to become familiar with the dental clinical environment from as young as one or two years of age, so the earlier the better.
Our oral health therapist sees children up to and including 17 years of age for dental treatment.
We recommend the following things to prepare for your child’s dental visits:
We regularly provide free oral health promotional/educational services at local schools and community groups.
If you are interested in hosting our oral health therapist to provide a presentation at your school/organisation please contact us on 8842 2010.
Dental hygiene treatment is the most effective way for you to find out about the health status of your gums and supporting structures of your teeth (periodontium). It pays to know about any issues early, as they can be dealt with more easily, more effectively, and at a lower cost. After having your teeth and gums examined by the dentist, you may be recommended to have your teeth professionally cleaned by the dental hygienist.
The Dental Hygienist;
Sometimes more than one dental hygiene appointment is required, the dentist will provide you with a personalised treatment plan appropriate for your oral condition.
We understand dental pain can be quite concerning so if you are experiencing any oral discomfort we encourage you to contact us immediately.
Avoiding the dentist will most likely result in the condition worsening and/or becoming more painful.
The prognosis for a tooth decreases the longer a problem goes unnoticed or untreated.
We will do our best to fit you in on the same day however this is not always possible.
We will work out a time that suits you at your earliest convenience.
